Thanks a bunch to everyone that came out to support independent filmmaking! It was an awesome weekend of short films and we couldn't have hoped for a better turn-out. Thanks also to all the filmmakers who submitted films, the local businesses that help support this fest and the hard-working Hi Mom! volunteers who keep this festival running.
Coming up with award winners seems to get harder every year. After watching 67 great short films, trying to choose just a few to award seems a bit unfair. It is truly a subjective experience. We think all of this year's films were top-notch, but there were a few that appeared again and again on our judges' cards. We'd like to congratulate the following filmmakers for their standout films. Hope to see you at Hi Mom! #9!
