Hi Mom! #6 Recap PDF Print E-mail
Sixth Annual Hi Mom! Film Festival was April 3-5, 2003...

The sun has set on Hi Mom! #6. What an amazing weekend it was! Thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting independent film. We couldn’t have been happier with this year’s turnout. Thanks also to all of the filmmakers that made the trip to NC to see their film screened. It was cool to finally meet some of you in person! We wanted to send a special thanks to Bill Plympton and Norwood Cheek for their hilarious screenings. We’d also like to thank Jennyanykind, Portastatic and all of our DJs for the great music they provided us and the Barbecue Joint for the tasty ‘cue!

It’s always difficult to choose award winners with so many interesting films in the festival. It’s especially difficult when you are having to compare so many different genres. Next year, Hi Mom! will probably revise it’s award categories to be more genre oriented, but it will never be easy picking the winners. All of the films are winners in our minds. We wouldn’t show them if they weren’t... With that said, here are the official award winners for Hi Mom! #6:
